The Contents of the House

It is our aim to reflect the social and cultural history of Robertson and district and to this end the house has been chiefly furnished in the late 19th Century period.

If there is emphasis placed on the English family it is because their stamp after 93 years of ownership is still much in evidence. While none of the original furniture remains in the house, the English Collection presented by Sir Terence English of Cambridge, England, grandson of WHD English encompasses textiles including lace, all the paraphernalia of lace making, books, magazines, pictures, photographs, post cards, letters and diaries providing a most evocative picture of the family who formerly owned Druids Lodge.
